IV.General Dispositions

In the year 1897 the aforementioned summary of the “dispositions, orders and advises” emanated from the General Chapters and from the circulars of Fr. Xifré in alphabetical order was published.262 The book presents, in a synthetic and systematic manner, the pastoral and formative guidelines and the juridical directives of the life of the Congregation “from the beginning of our canonical existence,” which were widely scattered in various publications. It is a very practical and pedagogical book, since it helps find easily whatever is needed about matters one is dealing with. It would become the seed of the General Dispositions of subsequent years and of the C.I.A., and the basis of our congregational law.
