EVOLUTION OF THE COAT OF ARMS OF THE CONGREGATION
In the General Chapter of 1876 there was a consensus regarding the seal of the Congregation, Provinces and Houses: “This will consist of a medallion with the Heart of Mary in the centre, and an inscription around.” This type of seal, which was already being used even earlier, continued evolving from the original drafted by the Founder until the present one.
Let us see this evolution:
First seal drawn by the Founder and printed in the primitive Constitutions.
Seal used by the General Secretary in 1876, even before the Chapter of that year.
